Elizabeth & Gianni
Our wedding will take place on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at the Imperiale Palace, Portofino, Italy. Please see the “Schedule” page for details on the weekend’s events.
Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport (GOA): ~45 minutes by car.
Pisa International Airport (PSA): ~1 hr 45 minutes by car/train.
Milan Malpensa (MXP) & Linate (LIN): ~2.5–3 hours by car/train.
Nice Côte d’Azur Airport (NCE), France: ~3 hours by car/train (a beautiful coastal drive).
We recommend Genoa (GOA) for the easiest transfer. Taxis, private cars, and trains are available from all major airports.
By car: Portofino is about 45 minutes from Genoa Airport and 2.5 hours from Milan. Parking is limited, so we recommend arranging private transfers.
By train: The nearest train station is Santa Margherita Ligure, just 10 minutes by taxi or shuttle from Portofino.
By boat: Ferries connect Santa Margherita and Rapallo to Portofino during the summer.
There are several beautiful options nearby:
In Portofino: Luxury hotels like Belmond Splendido, Eight Hotel, etc.
In Santa Margherita Ligure: More options at a range of budgets, just 10 minutes away. Imperiale Palace (our venue) is located here.
Airbnbs & villas: Also available in Santa Margherita and Rapallo.
We recommend booking early as June is high season in the Italian Riviera. See more suggestions on our Hotels page.
Yes! We will arrange shuttles to and from the welcome party and wedding venues for guests staying in the Portofino/Santa Margherita area. Details will be shared closer to the date.
The dress code for the wedding is black-tie. Gentlemen: tuxedos. Ladies: long dresses. Please keep in mind that some events (like the welcome party) will be outdoors near the water, so stylish yet comfortable shoes are recommended.
We love your little ones, but to keep our celebration intimate (and a little easier for parents to enjoy!), we are only including children of our immediate families in the wedding festivities. We hope this allows everyone else a chance to relax, sip some wine, and dance the night away with us!
Late June in Portofino is warm and sunny, with average highs around 27°C (80°F).
Evenings can be cooler by the sea, so a light shawl or jacket is a good idea.
Please let us know when you RSVP. We’ll work closely with our caterer to accommodate vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and other special requests.
Your presence in Portofino means the world to us — we know it takes time, effort, and expense to join us, and that is truly the greatest gift we could ask for. No additional gifts are necessary.
That said, if you feel inclined, we’ve put together a small registry with a few things that will help us begin this next chapter together. You can find it here. Password: noah
Go to Caffè Excelsior at the port → perfect for a cappuccino and brioche while watching the boats.
Visit San Fruttuoso Abbey, a medieval monastery tucked between cliffs, reachable only by boat or hiking trail. The tiny pebble beach there is magical.
Day trip to Cinque Terre — five colorful cliffside villages, best admired from the sea.
Visit Camogli (30 min): A postcard-perfect fishing village, less touristy, famous for focaccia col formaggio. Relax at Bagni Fiore at Parragi Beach. Charter a private gozzo boat for the afternoon. Sail past the lighthouse at Punta del Capo and swim in secret coves.
